Poha made from flattened rice, is very quick and easy to cook. This dish can be prepared in various ways. We are sharing most nutritious vegetarian snack. It is often eaten for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 2 Cup Rice Flakes (Poha - Flattened Par Boiled Rice Flakes)
  • 1/4 Cup Peanuts
  • 1-2 tbsp Lemon (Juice)
  • 1/2 Cup Tomatoes (Finely chopped)
  • 1/2 Cup Red Onion (Finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Powder
  • Salt (To taste)

Directions

  • 1. Take Poha in Colander (strainer) and wash in running water once and set aside.
  • 2. Heat oil in pan. Fry Peanuts till crispy. Add Mustard seeds, curry leaf and fry till mustard seeds start to cracker.
  • 3. Add cumin seeds and onion, fry for 3-4 minutes. Add turmeric and Red Chili Powder and fry for 1 more minute.
  • 4. Now add chopped tomatoes and salt, cook till tomatoes become soft and mushy.
  • 5. Now add poha and mix gently. Remove from heat and add lemon juice.
  • 6. Server hot or cold with Tea Or Coffee.
