Orange infused dry fruit chocolate balls

These Chocolate lovers’ delights are a delicious mixture of nuts and dried fruits.
To add some tang to these scrumptious treats, we have added some homemade orange marmalade. Recipe also includes steps to make homemade orange marmalade though you can also use store bought semi-sweet orange marmalade.
You can make these dry fruit balls with almost any combination of dry fruits. We have used almonds and pistachios.
In the spirit of thanksgiving, you can also use Cranberries and chopped Pecans in these little treats.
Pairing Ideas:
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Pistachio (roughly chopped)
- 1/2 Cup Almonds (sliced)
- 1/2 Cup Raisins
- 2 Oranges (Sliced Rind and Juice of two oranges)
- 1 Cup Chocolate Chips (Semi Sweet)
- 1/3 Cup Sugar
- 1/3 Cup Water
- 1/4 Cup Coconut (shredded)
- 1-2 tbsp Heavy Cream (Optional)
Directions
- 1. To make Orange Mermalade - Mix sugar and water on high heat. When dissolved add orange juice and bring to a boil. Add orange rind and cook at low heat for 20 minutes or till rind is fully cooked. You can also use 2 tbsp store bought mermalade if you like.

2. Give all nuts a rough chop (if not chopped already) -
3. Melt chocolate on a double boiler. Additional Notes:
If chocolate looks thick then add a little heavy cream to loosen it -

Add all chopped nuts and orange marmalade to the melted chocolate, combine well with a silicon spatula, let it cool in refrigerator for 20 minutes, or till chocolate is little set to work into balls. Use an ice cream scoop or using hands work the chocolate mixture into smalls 1-2 inches balls. Additional Notes:

5. Serve them once chocolate is set or store in air tight container to enjoy these little treats later.
