Orange Sauce is a staple in my home to tackle sugary cravings. Sauce has tang from orange juice and strong orange flavor and color extracted from cooking orange rind.
This sauce poured over fresh sliced oranges can be very good dessert option for casual dinner. You can make sauce ahead of time and pour over fresh oranges just before serving.

It has sweet and bitter taste as orange peel wasnt boiled before. I added fresh basil and i liked it a lot. Kinda adult dessert i would say.Savita
Vera, I agree it is fresh orange rind has bitter-sweet taste. Also, fresh basil is a good idea. May be for kids, orange rind can be skipped or blanched to reduce bitterness.
